How to protect the child when someone in the family has an eye

Many times when the eyes are red, we assume that the eyes are raised. But redness of the eyes is just a symptom of the disease. Inflammation of the conjunctiva (the thin transparent covering of the cornea),  the outer covering of the eye, is commonly referred to as ‘eye lifting’. Conjunctivitis is mainly more common in younger people. And from them, the disease spreads to the eyes of others. Lately, children’s eye diseases are being seen on a large scale. Prefix

  1. The white part of the infected eye becomes pink or reddish.

Warning

Dust, fire, light and sun loss,  not going to damp places with dirt and garbage should be done at this time. The eyes are very contagious, so you should not go to school or public gatherings at this time. Using black glasses in the eyes will be comfortable. The screen i.e. mobile phone, television should be seen less. If possible, take complete rest for 7 to 10 days. It is better to consult an ophthalmologist. Maintaining distance from infected patients.

How it spreads

When the eye is inflamed with the virus, the virus floats in the water of the eyes. It comes from the eyes to the hand. Then what we touch with that hand becomes infected. For example,  the infection can be spread through a handshake, TV, air-conditioning device or television remote, towels, bed sheets, pillow covers, and even mobile phones. That is why the affected child is advised to stay at home at this time. It is also better to keep his used items separate.

What to do

In the case of conjunctivitis, treatment is done according to the cause of the infection. Antibiotic drops are given for bacterial infections, enough time on their own to cure viral infections. Cold compresses and artificial tears or artificial eye water help to relieve the symptoms according to the symptoms. Antiallergic eye drops are given for allergic conjunctivitis.

How to protect a child when someone’s eyes are raised

  1. Do not touch the infected eyes.
  2. Wash your hands thoroughly after a while.
  3. Do not allow anyone else to use your towels and cosmetics.
  4. Isolate the infected person for 1 to 2 weeks.
