UN General Assembly side event – Promoting the health of refugees and migrants

UN General Assembly high– position side event on substantiation- informed policymaking in migration and health, which will take place on 20 September 2022 from 1815 to 2015 EST in New York and will be live- streamed globally on Zoom.The event will showcase good practices from countries that have taken significant way forward for better substantiation for refugee and migrant health and health system planning and service delivery.
The crucial findings from the recently launched WHO’s first World report on the health of deportees and settlers will also be presented. The report provides a first global shot of the health status of refugees and migrants, represents a crucial step towards a global base of substantiation regarding these populations, and is an substantiation- informed advocacy tool for governments and global stakeholders.
